I have yet to find a solution for this and I have asked a few in the digital sign-age area over the past few years, and still no luck.
I would like to see a up to a 42" touch panel that is networked with a windows home server. The idea of this, is a cool way to replace the "dry erase/cork board in the kitchen" On this panel you could have an application that would allow you to make a grocery list, write phone numbers, or even draw pictures. The panel would also be tied into Outlook calendar and everyones calendar could be seen. Example: little boy johnny has a soccer game on Saturday, and dad has a business meeting Tuesday evening and will be home late. The panel would also have the ability to watch TV or video, and when not in use could run a picture slideshow of the family photo album. I would prefer something already setup for the owner, and not a touch PC or tablet PC. So, if any of you have suggestions or any other ideas to add I am all ears.

I don't know what is holding you up. You can get touchscreen overlays for many commercial monitors for between $800 and 1500 and then use XP Tablet edition on the PC or use windows 7 with Apps. There are lots of on screen keyboards or handwriting converters to text if you prefer.
I finally quit drinking for good. Now, I do it for evil.

Smart Technologies has some of the better software for an application like this, and the products work as advertised too.
This is what I would recommend for this application: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-US/P...ys/Default.htm
