Xantech 794-50 into Marantz SR5600

I have a project in which a SR5600 has been proposed as part of a second surround system. Has anyone ever used the Xantech 794-50 into the RC5 input on the back of the SR5600?

Typically we use the 7500 and 8500 and they both have IR inputs on the back. The 5600 doesn't.

No one has done this or am I asking a stupid question? I have never researched and tested that in depth all of the Xantech product and figured instead of calling Xantech tech support I could ask here and get a quick reply. Anyone?

Yes, the 794-50 works with the RC5 jack. You will be substantially happier if you run a seperate ground wire from the 794-50 to the chassis ground.
