Does anyone out there working with Matrix Audio Designs know of a way to tie in a doorbell to the system. Matrix does not have a interface available for the Classic line (MRC-8.4e). The electrician ran the doorbell into the elevator shaft which is basically a concrete bunker and it is not audible. Short of switching to a different system does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

More info, please.
Matrix is the system that sends controls on a modulated basis down speaker wire, if I am correct.
At that point, you could run your contact closure to some sort of tone generating device (Viking or Bogen or record-your-own tone from Premier Technologiess) into a commercial amp, aux in, out to impedance protection out to signal activated speaker level a/b switch out to speakers.
If they have to have it, that's one way....

Thanks Fred. I will try that here in the shop. Hopefully it will work, it makes sense though. O ya the Matrix system is the Speaker Wire Technology system. Thanks again for your input.
